The EMA Bursary is suppose to support students in the last 2 senior years at school.
The criteria is centred around supporting students and families living in poverty, the application process although straightforward often results in students being denied the bursary.
Lengthy appeal process, hurdles that’s are impossible to prove are endless.

Attending a school (My Sons) in Cat SIMD 1/2 is measured at 86% are eligible to free school meals.
The SIMD is a postcode poverty measurement with massive funds spent on closing the attainment gap.

Would be interested to know the percentage of eligible students who are receiving The EMA Bursary In Cat SIMD 1/2 Schools.
